Extraordinary Minister Shortage

The most hilarious thing I've read in some time . . .

Wow, that is funny!

Is it really that bad to "be down to" a one-to-one ratio? How many ministers does it really take to distribute the Eucharist? My pastor has done that by himself for nearly twenty years.

You're missing the point Keith! It's all about active participation!! You still have a "pastor"?!? Then there's more fighting to be done!!!!

With all due respect paleface, perhaps Keith isn't missing the point! The Bible and God's law is most clear about who and how sacrifice should be offered up to Him and our Lord Jesus Christ. Active participation doesn't necessarily mean on the Holy Altar or on the innermost part of the Santuary. Remember the practice of humility is an important aspect of our Catholic faith and tradition and this sacrifice involves active participation.
